Fabric.

Well, since it's been such a long winter with tons of snow and freezing cold temps, I am unwilling unable to go into the garage to build with wood like I would like. I so badly wanted to make Reese a doll highchair for her birthday, but I don't think I'd be able to feel my finger tips after being in the garage for more than 15 minutes. Not only to cut and assemble it, but then there's no way I'd be able to paint it out there. I don't have a proper place to bring something inside to paint it. So, I wasn't able to make it for her.

I also have a couple of other projects I'd like to build, but they will just have to hold off until we approach spring. Hopefully I'll be able to get to the rocket shelf for Owen's birthday.

So, I've turned to fabric as my medium. I can sew, but I always say I'm not an expert. But, I must say, every time I do something, I'm more and more impressed with myself. Reese got a new stroller for Christmas and so I thought I'd make a doll diaper bag to go with it. I went on my favorite place to find hand crafted things, and was able to find a pattern for a lunch bag that would work perfectly for what I was looking for. I searched high and low for some blue fabric, but still wanted a little girly pink, and this is what I came up with:

I didn't think Reese would get that excited about it, it's not like she was asking for one. But, man, she really liked it. She has been playing with it every day (Owen too). I put a bottle, a doll diaper, a doll toy, and a little box of wipes. She packs it up and carries it with her. It's just too cute.
