Our little Bugaboo is starting Second Grade today. He is very excited and a little nervous at the same time. He is very easy going and can pretty much go with the flow and there for will adjust very easily. We feel very blessed in that he goes to school with confidence that he will have a great year.
As the summer was coming to an end while many of our neighborhood friends were preparing for school to start, I noticed something I hadn't before. The families that both parents worked, the parents were not looking forward to the school year. They know that it's a ton of work to be done: getting their kids ready for school and themselves ready and off to work. Then when they get home from work, the struggling of getting their kids to focus on homework, getting dinner ready and eaten, trying to fit in play time, and then getting off to bed so their children can be well rested for the next day.
Then on the other side of things, as a stay at home mom, I have a different outlook on the school year:
I am laughing out loud -- hysterical and oh, SO true!
